Artisan Lines – Handcrafted in Our Factory
The craftsmanship that goes into Duravit Artisan Lines is the primary focus at our production facilities in Hornberg, Schenkenzell, Meißen and Bischwiller. We don’t rely on mass production. Instead, our products are manufactured with the utmost level of care and with a keen eye for even the smallest of details. To guarantee their exceptional quality and originality, Duravit Artisan Lines aren’t produced by purely mechanical means. They’re manufactured by the skilled hands of a professional artisan.
High-quality Materials
Of course, we also select the materials used in our Artisan Lines with the utmost care. Sophisticated, delicate shapes like those in the Vitrium or Bento Starck Box series can be effortlessly created thanks to our DuroCast material with its extraordinary feel, manufactured using a mineral casting process. This is also part of what makes the Artisan Lines designer bathrooms truly unique.

Internationally Acclaimed Designers and Studios
You'll find a veritable "who's who" of the design world behind Duravit Artisan Lines. Our long-standing partner and star designer Philippe Starck plays a key role in this series. This is also true of Christian Werner, who thinks of the bathroom as a comfortable retreat and who has several successful partnerships with Duravit under his belt. New designers on the scene include Sebastian Herkner, who exemplifies outstanding design quality with his first complete bathroom series.
Artisan Lines—Design Series of the Highest Quality
Aurena
Design by Antonio Citterio
Perfect proportions and precise contours – the Aurena complete bathroom series by Antonio Citterio owes its impressively precise and elegant look to the golden ratio. This design principle is considered a formula for aesthetic harmony and it plays a crucial role in Aurena. Thanks to the large assortment of colors, sizes and finishes, Duravit's Aurena series is perfect for any style of luxury bathroom.
In the Vitrium series by Christian Werner, different shapes come together to produce a minimalist design. Round countertop sinks are combined with a linear console vanity, for example, while the minimal furniture depth ensures that the products in the series can also fit easily into bathrooms with space constraints. All the bathroom vanities in this series as well as the toilet designed by Antonio Bullo are also made from the high-quality DuroCast® mineral composite material.
Japanese influences also play a leading role in the Bento Starck Box bathroom series—designed by none other than Philippe Starck. The inspiration for this series came from the divisions in the classic Japanese bento box. These are a particularly prominent feature of the sinks in the series. The intelligent division into wet and dry areas also serves as an esthetic highlight.
The White Tulip series also stems from Philippe Starck's inexhaustibly creative spirit. This series is divided into two different versions: Nature and Culture. True to their names, Nature relies primarily on subtle, natural colors and materials, whereas the focus of the Culture series is on its expressive details. This is how a distinctive work of art is created.
With Zencha, the shooting star of a designer Sebastian Herkner—inspired by traditional Japanese rituals and craftsmanship—has created a well-thought-out bathroom series that combines unusual countertop sinks with purist furniture. The most striking design feature of the sink and the bathtub is the rounded shape, which ends in a graceful, softly curved outward edge.
